About me

My name is Luz Dominguez and I am a certified Alexander Technique teacher, residing in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

I completed my training in ETABA school, Buenos Aires, Argentina with Merran Poplar, Violeta Winograd and Marina Giancaspro.

My connection with the Alexander Technique began in 2017 while I was studying to become a singer at EMBA (Escuela de Musica de Buenos Aires).

Singing is my passion and has always been a significant part of my life. During my time as a student, I struggled with my vocal technique. This was due to a combination of poor overall body coordination and unnecessary muscle tension. These challenges were a concern for all of my teachers. Despite their best efforts to assist me, there seemed to be a missing link between my voice and my body that was crucial to overcoming these hurdles. Even though I felt anxious and frustrated about this matter, I knew that my body had the potential to sing freely. That´s when I discovered the AlexanderTechnique. Now, you might be thinking, "So, this is a technique just for singers, right?" Well, not exactly. But here's something you might not know: the vocal

system is intricately linked to the entire body through chains of muscles. When the body isn't utilized correctly, the vocal system reacts in a similar way. During those first Alexander Technique lessons with my private teacher, Violeta Winograd, I found that I was full of unnecessary muscle tension that prevented me to move freely and after three months of taking lessons once a week I acheived significant improvements. That is why I decided to study the Alexander Technique along with my singing career. I wanted to help others the way my teachers helped me.

Today I sing freely and enjoy my voice everyday; my body feels great and best of all I am helping people from all sorts of fields to recover their natural and instinctive posture.
