About me

My name is Luz Dominguez, I am a certified Alexander Technique teacher, musician and singing teacher residing in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

I completed the Alexander Technique training course in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at ETABA (Escuela de Tecnica Alexander de Buenos Aires) under the direction of Merran Poplar, Violeta Winograd and Marina Giancaspro.

I studied music at EMBA (Escuela de Musica de Buenos Aires) from 2014 to 2017 and I have dedicated the past 15 years to train my voice through various private singing teachers.

From 2023 to 2026, I trained at the Rabine Institut under the direction of Üwe Götz and became a Certified Rabine Teacher.

The Rabine Method is a voice technique and vocal pedagogy based on functional anatomy. It offers a precise and embodied understanding of vocal function, supporting the development of a free, expressive, and sustainable voice.

My journey with the Alexander Technique began in 2017 while studying to become a singer at EMBA. At that time I was facing significant challenges with vocal technique due to poor body coordination and muscle tension. Despite assistance from teachers, a crucial piece to achieve a coordinated voice was missing, this was the link between the use of my voice and my body. The deep search for a solution led me to The Alexander Technique and from there to the Rabine Method. Both techniques work towards the efficiency of the body through the development of fine and differentiated movements with the difference in the appliance; The Alexander Technique aims for a general body coordination and the Rabine Method specialises in the use of the voice. After years of searching, I have found a new passion: teaching.

My primary goal in my lessons is to guide my students into a state of joy, helping them connect with music, their voice, and their body. By understanding and accepting that mistakes are a natural and necessary part of the learning process, they can build confidence and regulate their nervous system, promoting growth.
